| 1) | The Minister may delegate to the Director-General any of his or her powers or assign any of his or her duties conferred or imposed on him or her by this Act. |
| 2) | Any delegation contemplated in subsection (1)- |
| a) | may be made subject to such conditions as the Minister may determine; |
| b) | must he communicated to the delegatee in writing; |
| c) | may be amended or withdrawn by the Minister in writing; and |
| d) | does not prohibit the Minister from exercising that power or performing that duty. |
| 3) | The Minister may not delegate the power to- |
| a) | make regulations; or |
| b) | appoint a member of the Board. |
| 4) |
| a) | The Minister may issue a directive to the Director-General regarding the delegation contemplated in subsection (1). |
| b) | The Director-General must give effect to the directive contemplated in paragraph (a). |
