I, Dr PA Motsoaledi, Minister of Health, hereby, in terms of the Occupational Diseases in Mines and Works Act, 1973 (Act No. 78 of 1973), adjust the levies payable by controlled mines and works to the Mines and Works Compensation Fund as determined by the Compensation commissioner in terms of section 62 from 1 August 2025 as follows:

In addition, in terms of section 63(2) of the Occupational Diseases in Mines and Works Act, 1973 (Act No. 78 of 1973), the levy determined for the purposes of research remains at R0.02 per worker per risk shift.
